Do lovebirds die when separated?

Human is the best creation of GOD. Being human, we have very strong control over our emotions in case of grief when someone close to heart dies. We go into grief but come back to life in a few days and start living normally with the memories of our partner. Almost all the animals have the same kind of emotions in terms of losing their partners in front of them but some birds take it so seriously that if they were not engaged again or return back to their social life they probably lose their life. In this list, we have baya-weaver and lovebirds on the top when a question like which bird dies when its partner dies?” rises.

Lovebirds are very beautiful, small and colorful parakeets. As their name represents the meaning of their relation to being attached very closely to their partner. There are a lot of types of lovebirds like Fischer, Peach Face, Black-cheeked and many more. If we talk about Love birds habitat, it includes woodlands, forests, Edge of deserts, scrubs forest and savanna. When it comes to knowing “how long do lovebirds live?” the answer is very clear, they have an average life span of 15-20 years.

Sometimes lovebird die suddenly because of hyperacute disease even when there is no sign of death or previous illness but this unexpected death affects its partner  which results in the loss of appetite, sitting alone silently in the corner of the cage (lack in social behavior) and in some cases this results in the death of the partner within a few days of the lovebird partner dies. In short, this is the answer for can birds die from a broken heart?”

This is the time when we can say “how to help a grieving bird?” In order to save your second lovebird, you need to bring it back to social life by giving toys to play with them or by spending your more time with it or by pairing lovebirds once again with a new partner. These are the things which make it possible because if you involve your bird in other activities, it will change its attitude and bring it back to normal life.

I have also faced a question that people usually ask “why do my canaries keep dying?”This happens in birds aviary because of serious kinds of diseases, transferred by bacteria or viruses.  In such cases, we have to take the birds to vet and the best thing we can do is clean our birdcage. Now the question is that “how to clean a birdcage after a bird dies?” When you see your parakeets start dying one after another, the first setup after visiting the vet is to shift all of your birds to another cage and wash the cage and all toys with hot and soapy water. After cleaning it properly spray a disinfectant on the cage and on all toys of the birds and let them dry for 10 minutes.

The mating is confirmed when your budgie female start nesting.  What is the budgie breeding age? Normally budgies are ready to breed at the age of 6 months but it’s better to allow them to breed at the age of 8 months because younger mothers cannot take good care of their clutches. How many clutches do budgies have in a year?  In wild, budgie normally has two clutches in the year means once in six months but in captivity, budgies may have up to 3 to 5  clutches in a year if they are not used for commercial breeding.  How many years budgies can b

What is half sider budgie?

Half sider is not genetic, it's a unique defect that occurs accidentally when two different yolks fertilize with two different sperms and then those two separately fertilized eggs fuse together. In birds, this happens exactly just before the eggshell forms around the zygote. This fusion produces a rare kind of budgie that is separated with two colors vertically right from the center, like half blue and half green(classic half sider).  Half siders are totally opposite of identical twins. Instead of a single fertilized ovum splitting into two embryos, it's two different zygote fusing and resulting in one embryo.  This doesn't happen only in budgies but it is also seen in humans, cats, cockatiels and in different kinds of birds. Here are some pictures of half-siders.  How to produce a half sider budgies? Or How can I get half sider budgie? Some people think to put two different colors of budgies together (Blue and Green) will result in classic half si
